vintage bungalow in twentynine palms…

This mid-century bungalow is set behind a hand-laid stonewall constructed by an earlier and very industrious settler. The rocks are locally sourced and showcase just a few colors you'll find in the home.

The front porch offers a view of the mature desert willow, cactus garden, and mountains of Gold Park in the distance. Entering the home you'll be greeted with a bright open space and character that makes gatherings a joy.

A great room with a reading area and a queen-size sleeper sofa for those traveling in larger groups. The dining room has seating for eight and works well as a makeshift office for the nomadic worker. The breakfast nook leads to a kitchen with all the modern conveniences with further access to the private backyard. Opposite is the common bathroom featuring original charm including handcrafted cabinetry and an unrestored 75-year-old cast iron tub. Two bedrooms to dream of your adventure.

The backyard is large and fully fenced complete with cacti, natural landscaping, cabana patio seating, and a fire pit. Gather your favorite fixin's from the grocery store and barbecue on the gas grill between turns at horseshoes or watching the sunset.

Ample parking with use of the covered carport and adjacent area. The home also has an indoor laundry room available for guest use and is particularly handy for multi-stop travelers or longer stays.

things to note ….

Stonewall Bungalow is located in a quiet residential neighborhood just outside the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. The property is oversized with a large private backyard. We can accommodate solo travelers, couples, or groups no larger than six people.

When exploring Joshua Tree National Park or visiting the Sky’s the Limit Nature and Observatory the entrance is just 3 miles up the road. Nearby you will find art galleries, Theatre 29, Tortoise Rock Casino, a self-guided mural tour, and the old schoolhouse museum. Just a few minute’s drive will have you at 29 Palms downtown district showcasing amazing eateries and shops.
