What is Party at the Plaza?

Well…… let us tell you! Party at the Plaza is a Celebration of Project Phoenix a ten-year plan and part of a revitalization project for downtown Twentynine Palms. This modern and exciting space, FREEDOM PLAZA, is now home to our Saturday’s farmers market, stage, commercial kitchen, multi-purpose room, and future home of Joshua Tree National Park visitor and cultural center.

The downtown district shop owners known as Rediscover 29 have garnered their inspiration, experience, and enthusiasm to put together a fantastic all-day event celebration.

Special mention to Visit29 for their sponsorship of this event. Also, huge appreciation to all the visitors who have stayed in the hotels and motels of 29 Palms as funds from your hotel tax is the financial backing of this event. Party at the Plaza is open to all visitors, citizens, and neighboring communities members as a FREE EVENT. Please join us in this celebration and support our small business owners in the process.

Bring a lawn chair for the BEEER GARDEN offered by Grnd Sqrl Gastropub, stop on by the Habitat, Donahlue Clothing Co, The Lobby at the Desert Beacon, or continue your jam at White Label Vinyl or other downtown shops and businesses. If you arrive early you’ll see the transition between the Saturday Farmer’s Market from 8am - 1pm and the celebration starting at 2 pm.

A: Party at the Plaza is held in downtown Twentynine Palms, CA on the south side of the highway between the streets of Cholla and Tamarisk. Parking will be limited, consider carpooling, walking, or utilizing the free shuttles!

Q: The Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center will be at Freedom Plaza?
A: That’s right! It will be a process to get fully moved but Joshua Tree National Park will be sharing space with a visitor and cultural center at Freedom Plaza.
