New Trail destined for Joshua Tree National Park

A recent agreement with the Twentynine Palms Band of Mission Indians and the National Park Service will have us enjoying a new hiking trail in Joshua Tree National Park.

The new trail is set to be a loop hike through the northern boundary and back into Tribal lands. JTVH speculates the trailhead to be near Tortoise Rock Casino in Twentynine Palms which provides a habitat for the desert tortoises as well as public events and offerings.

What an exciting addition this will be for the local community of 29 Palms as well as visitors. The inclusion of a trail without the need to go into the Park’s interior is much like that of the nearby 49 Palms Oasis, Indian Cove Campground, and Black Rock in Yucca Valley.

Stay tuned for more reports on the projected trail design and completion date. Joshua Tree Vacation Homes offers a few properties not far from this location and couldn’t be more excited to learn of this partnership and addition to our public and tribal lands.
